The recognition obtained by the Ministry for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies gives the Consortium the task of protection, supervision and promotion of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

The task of the Consortium is promoting the knowledge of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and disseminating its culture in Italy and worldwide addressing directly the end consumers and the media alike.

The Consortium has indeed the task of stimulating the use and dissemination of the correct designation, including on remote markets, contrasting the phenomenon of Italian Sounding products by educating consumers to recognise the authentic product versus imitations.

Also through public contributions, the Consortium organises promotion and information campaigns, joins events, shows and activities, and makes sure that the information available on the product is correct and true.
